Mina Keohane: Composer and Performer

Mina Keohane is a talented composer, music artist, and vocalist. Her unique approach to music is deeply influenced by her diverse experiences and exposure to various styles and cultures throughout her life. After studying composition and voice at the Berklee College of Music, her main influences include notable figures like Charles Mingus, Maria Schneider, Gil Evans, and Beethoven. In her personal work, Keohane, as a music artist, aims to let the music inform her artistic choices organically, without being confined to specific stylistic definitions or limitations. In her commercial endeavors, she acts as a performer who listens closely to the vision of her clients, striving to capture and execute the distinct vibe of each project to convey an emotional story through music.

As a music artist and performer, she can be found singing at her monthly residency at the Chatterbox Jazz Club every 3rd Tuesday of the month. In addition to her vocal performances, she plays keyboards and accordion with various groups, including Jeff Kelly & the Graveyard Shift, Sarah Grain & the Billions of Stars, Nashville-based recording artist Brandon Whyde, The Dopacetics, Hip-Hop Artist TJ Reynolds & the Freehand Orchestra, and her own band, Mina & the Wondrous Flying Machine. She has had the opportunity and privilege of opening for many wonderful artists, such as Becca Stevens, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats, Blues Traveler, Dwight Yoakam, Esme Patterson, and Robby Krieger, further showcasing her talents as a composer and performer.
